Abstract
Working with data often means facing pages of numbers, dense tables, and charts that are difficult to read. This special-issue handbook examines two sides of graphics in statistical and data science: how to create them effectively, and how to understand them thoughtfully. R is the main tool used to build the visuals, but the emphasis is on what makes a chart work and how visual tools communicate ideas clearly. The text provides code, practical examples, and explanations for students, researchers, analysts, and instructors, including learners in statistics, econometrics, applied regression, and computing methods for data analysis. It is written as a companion for turning raw data into insight and charts into communication.
